Augustin Diabetes Hospital began its journey in 2004 in Triplicane, founded by Dr. A. Lawrence Victor Joe with a vision to provide specialized care for diabetic patients in the community. With a passion for holistic healing and years of experience, Dr. A. Lawrence Victor Joe soon expanded the scope of services to include dermatology, addressing both the medical and lifestyle needs of patients.
As the hospital grew in both reputation and reach, it moved to its current location in Manali Junction, Thuckalay in 2009 to better serve the growing patient base with enhanced infrastructure and accessibility.
Recognizing the need for convenient, multi-disciplinary care, Sam Dental Clinic was also established within the same building, offering expert dental services in a comfortable, integrated environment.
Today, Augustin Diabetes Hospital stands as a symbol of trusted, quality care in Thuckalay — a place where modern medicine meets compassionate service. And through every chapter of our story, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health.

Augustin Diabetes Hospital is a dedicated multi-specialty healthcare center with a strong focus on diabetes management, along with dermatology and dental care. Founded by Dr. A. Lawrence Victor Joe, a skilled diabetologist and dermatologist trained both in India and abroad, the hospital is built on the values of expertise, empathy, and community care.
Dr. A. Lawrence Victor Joe began his medical journey in Moscow, Russia, and went on to complete several specialized medical courses in India, including at the Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Diabetology, a prestigious department within the Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital in Chennai.
His deep commitment to patient-centered care led to the creation of a facility where patients receive comprehensive treatment, personalized support, and long-term health solutions.
In addition to medical specialties, the hospital houses Sam Dental Clinic, staffed by a qualified dentist, offering seamless dental care within the same building—ensuring total wellness for every patient who walks through the door.
